My name is Amit Gondaliya and I live in Surat. In 2015 I developed abdominal pain and I was advised ultrasound by my family physician. After seeing the ultrasound report , I was referred to a specialist who advised a CT scan of my abdomen which showed a tumor in my large intestine and liver. I had several small tumors in my liver. When I knew about my condition, I wanted to go to the best. Through a known person, I was recommended to see Dr Hitesh Chavda at Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad. Dr Chavda analyzed the reports and explained us regarding the problem and how he was going to approach this. I was diagnosed as stage 4 colon tumor. He advised to remove the intestinal and liver tumor in the same sitting. It was a complex and demanding surgery. During surgery a large tumor from my intestine was removed and multiple liver tumors were removed from my liver. The surgery took nine-hours and its complexity was compared to having an organ transplantation. I had uneventful recovery and was discharged from the hospital after seven days. Subsequently, I received several doses of chemotherapy and now I am cured and leaving a normal life. My advice is if there’s something going on in your body that you feel is off, get it checked out.
