My name is Karansingh Chauhan, I am from Ratlam Madhya Pradesh. On 22^nd April 2018, I developed pain in my abdomen. The pain was very severe and on the right side of my abdomen. I consulted local doctors in Ratlam and underwent series of tests including a CT scan of my abdomen. I was found to have a tumor in my liver. As per local opinions the problem was complex and the surgery was not possible. Of course, the news was devastating. My family had no idea what to do and neither did I. But I knew I had to be strong. Through a local contact- we decided to come to Ahmedabad for a second opinion and consulted Dr Hitesh Chavda. From the moment I walked through the doors of Sterling Hospital with Dr Hitesh Chavda- I knew that’s where I wanted to be. I was admitted at Sterling Hospital on 1 st July and underwent successful surgery on 3 rd July 2018. Half of my liver from the left side was removed with a coconut size tumor. This complex surgery lasted for 8 hours. My recovery was uneventful and I was discharged from the hospital after seven days. Currently, I am on regular follow-up with the Liver Unit at Sterling Hospital and I am enjoying my full and happy life more than ever.
